tennis & pickleball LESSONS & CLINICS

Total Tennis isn't just a great destination for the best tennis and pickleball gear and apparel. We also have some of the best instructors in the Sarasota area offering a variety of lessons and clinics for all skill levels. Our standard offerings are below, but if you don't see what you're looking for, call the shop - we can also customize a lesson plan for you.

Private Lessons - $80 to $100/per person per hour*

Looking for some one-on-one instruction? Whether you're picking up a racket for the first time or just coming off a victory at one of the Majors, our pros can give you the hands-on instruction you want, whatever your skill level. Forehand and backhand swing technique, volleys, serves, drop shots, lobs, overhead slams...whatever parts of your game need work, we can get you playing at a level you're happy about. Don't need a full hour? Schedule 30 or 45 minutes instead, no problem.

Semi-private Lessons - $45/per person per hour*

Whether you and your doubles partner need some combined instruction, you're looking for something new for date night, or you just have a friend (or two) you want to take lessons with, we're happy to accommodate multiple people on the court. Have a foursome? We can even set up a private clinic for you and your friends.

Standard Clinics - $35 to $45/per person for 90 minute clinic*

These are the clinics that has Sarasota talking. Our all-action, four-to-a-court format with rotating partners ensures you're getting the most out of your clinics. No standing around watching other people play! You came for some tennis, you're gonna play some tennis! Clinics typically start with a round of volley drills (the beloved Vicious Volleys, which is much more fun than it is vicious…win every round, and get a picture of you wearing the Vicious Volley Winner’s Tiara!), and then move on to a drill focused on a particular scenario (eg return of serve with one player up, one back). Clinics usually leave out serving to maximize the time spent playing tennis, and participants rotate partners to keep things moving. It's fun and competitive, without being too much of either.
